HEM, Mubarak Husain Al Marri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Côte d'Ivoire, participated in the launching ceremony of an initiative called "Eyecare" launched by Qatar Charity in collaboration with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and their partners. This initiative aims to treat eye diseases in school children in 13 African countries. The initiative was launched under the high patronage of HE Pierre Demba, Minister of Health, Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage of Côte d'Ivoire, and in the presence of HE Koffi N'guessan, Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training, representing the Minister of Health and Mr. Hamad bin Salem Al Jaber, Director of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Department of Qatar Charity, and Mr. Rida Mabrouk, Director of the Qatar Charity office in Abidjan.

H.E. Mr. Adom Kaku León, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Ivorians Abroad, met H.E. Mr. Mubarak Bin Hussain Al Marri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Côte d'Ivoire. During the meeting, they exchanged views on a number of issues of common interest.

During the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them were discussed.

Ali Ben Youssef Al Nuaimi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, and H.E. Saad Bin Bakhit Al Qathami, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the meeting, cooperation relations were reviewed, in addition to discussing a number of issues of common interest and in a manner that serves the common interests and objectives of the GCC countries.
